Hacienda Primavera

Hacienda Primavera where we spent 3 nights with Steve and Emily and the children.  We were the only ones there so we were treated like royalty!

Ecuador-Haciendas-Hacienda Primavera
The hacienda has been owned by the same family for over 90 years.  It is remote and situated in a cloud forest.  Every room had a gorgeous view.
A view of the pool which the kids really enjoyed.

The kitchen staff.  We were spoiled with all the good food!  We had a gourmet chef that fixed all the meals.

Catherine enjoying the hammock.  So cute with her front teeth missing!

Spencer and Sam on the path to the pool.

Eli waiting for dinner!!

One of our dinners of fish and fried platinos.  We were able to have cooking lessons and get a few good recipes!

Eli enjoying a swing in the hammock.

Kids and Steve playing in the pool.

A view from our balcony.

Freshly made mora or blackberry juice for breakfast!

Lemons from the trees at the hacienda.  They made the best drink that they served to us daily.

Steve and the kids having fun by the river.

Eli enjoying time at the pool.  The water was pretty cold but the older kids didn't care!

Waiting to be served!  We felt so spoiled not having to plan any meals or do any cleanup!!!

A cute smile!

In the middle of the hacienda is a courtyard with a fountain and flowers and plants.

Another view of the courtyard.  All the rooms faced the courtyard.

Spencer and Grandpa playing a game.

Ben, relaxing on the couch.

Watching a video with Grandpa.

Eli enjoying his birthday cake.  He had his first birthday while we were at the hacienda.

Eli cutting his cake with the help of Jose, the butler.

Blowing out the candle!

The kitchen staff sang Happy Birthday and made him a special cake!

A moth that flew into the hacienda one night.

One of the farmers going to work his fields with his basket strapped to his back and his machete for cutting.

Inside the basket was a little puppy!
